"At a rally this evening near Green Bay, Wisconsin, Trump said his team had advised him to stop talking about how he was going to protect women by ending crime and making sure they don’t have to be 'thinking about abortion.”'

Kristin Du Mez looks at the reluctance of men in evangelical churches to speak out against sexual abuse of vulnerable people by pastors. It's almost always women who speak out about this, she notes. And she then looks at the choice of those same men to vote for a known, convicted sexual predator as president.

She writes,

"I get it. It puts church-going men in an awkward position."

"More than 60% of evangelical pastors (the vast majority of whom are men) plan to vote for a sexual predator on November 5. Roughly 80% of their congregants tell pollsters they plan to do the same. Religious people, and specifically church-attending men, are casting their ballots so that the Secretary of Education will report to someone who shouldn’t be allowed within 500 feet of a school."

As Sean Craig reports, MAGA bros are freaking out because so many women are voting.

"Two of former president Donald Trump’s most prominent backers in the right wing influencer sphere [Mike Cernovich and Charlie Kirk] fretted Wednesday after early votingnumbers showed massive early turnout among women that could imperil their candidate’s path to victory."

The Fox News co-host told panelists on The Five that if he discovered second wife, Emma DiGiovine, was secretly backing the vice president, it would be 'D-Day' for their marriage."

"This week we have seen two deeply alarming incidents of violence, threats and abuse directed by Donald Trump’s male supporters against women at polling locations. And tragically this will likely not be the last given a core theme of Trump’s “bro vote” strategy has been amplifying sexism and misogyny—as we saw again at his rallies this week."

Obeidallah focuses on what happened recently in Neptune, Florida, where a group of teens waving Trump flags gathered at an early voting site to harrass voters, with one teen, Caleb James Williams, pulling out a machete and brandishing it at two female voters.

And in South Carolina, a man has just verbally assaulted Black women working at the polls.

But to really help him feel better, there’s nothing like letting him sit in a big truck like a big boy!"

He has bragged about grabbing women by the pussy without asking. He has bragged about being the reason Dobbs was overturned. Because he is the reason Dobbs was overturned."

Every woman that dies or has her reproductive future decimated because of those laws is his fault. And he will make it worse because regardless of what he says now, he will absolutely use the Comstock laws to make it illegal to mail anything to do with abortion.

No one needs protection by him, but we sure as hell need protection from him."

"Because what Trump has to offer men is permission to hate women. Those women.

And the terms of that hate are not 'Women are taking away our precious cultural ideas about manhood!'. It’s pretty much 'Women are taking our jobs and our social power, women are doing better at most of what we have done, women are—without any malice or plan—unveiling the many cases where men have risen to the top on nothing more than mediocrity & a pair of testicles.'"

Men don't need permission to hate women. That's the toxic masculinity our culture loves.

Men need a get out of jail free card when they act on that hatred. That's what Trump offers.
