The water authority in Buffalo, NY quietly removed fluoride for several years - only just reintroducing it a few weeks ago (it’s true). The removal only came to light when some parents started asking questions about why their kids were having so many cavities. It wasn’t ideologically driven, just garden variety incompetence and lack of concern.
