Ray LaHood was the perfect Republican to serve in a Dem admin. He was a slightly crooked but legitimately moderate Rep—one of only three House Republicans who didn’t sign Newt’s Contract on America.
I think he was a decent Secy of Transportation for Obama. Maybe Kamala should just hire him.

The Republicans entire worldview is about entrenching public corruption within government, permanently.
They see taxpayers as just another source of grift.
To the GOP, the federal government should be converted into a system of crony capitalism, patronage, & nepotism.
