President #Biden: "I've said many times: You can't love your country only when you win."
in reply to Laffy

I don't hate my country because we lost. Today I hate my country because it is majority fascist. Today I hate my country because it was founded on racism, ruined by slavery, worships greed, and hates women, and always has. I hate that I live in a shithole country, and now my efforts will be dedicated to harm reduction – to supporting and hopefully saving some of the good people who are trapped in this shithole country with me.

P S.: Obama's old pastor Jeremiah Wright was correct:

"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people..God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

I'm sorry to be a downer on your timeline. I used to be a really passionate patriot. It hurts not to be one any longer, but it still hurts less than clinging to patriotism when it's obvious that my country doesn't deserve my allegiance any longer. But I'm serious about harm reduction and helping the good people who are trapped here with me!

You hit on something important. In my timeline I am seeing so much anger and despair and disgust. It's because we all know what that convicted felon is by now and it just didn't matter to the majority of the country.

I woke in the middle of the night several times on election night and each time I checked the results, I kept muttering to myself, "How can this country be so fucking stupid?"

I had a silly notion that the more people knew about him the more they would dislike him. And to find out the opposite is true has floored me.

I am far from a pollyanna, but I have always believed there are more good people in the world than bad. It is rocking me to my foundation to learn this is simply not true.

Wrong conclusion IMO. It attributes to people, whose only act is checking some boxes and dropping an envelope in a box once in 4 years, all the faults of a corrupt system. Like attributing to failing bolts the car driver's falling asleep on the wheel, or the car designer's design of an ancient car for modern use.

There is no chance for people to know what's going on in a system where elections are bought by billionaires and corrupt judges.
