Same here in Canada. If Canada runs afoul of the US, MS can just topple our govt.

Microsoft is the new IBM.

Back in the day, there were many technically superior option to IBM for computing, but because IBM had that brand recognition, companies got their cheque book out for them and not the opposition.

When IBM came to Microsoft, the latter's only OS offering was a Unix variant called Xenix. Ironically, had they been better sales people, they'd have sold IBM a slimmed down Xenix that booted into single-user mode rather than buying QDOS and selling it as MS-DOS… but there you go.

It took IBM a couple of decades of missteps to fall from their lofty perch, Microsoft's time will come.

Maybe stop using propietary operating systems from a big tech company and wasting money on their half-a$$ed support?

Imagine how much money people would save if many users just used LibreOffice or OnlyOffice instead of paying for a Microsoft 365 subscription...

Wrong answer. The correct answer is: Microsoft is proprietary, privately owned, and completely out of their control. If Microsoft had the best cybersecurity around, the government should still use something more controlled.
