The Tories introduced laws that criminalised protest to deal with the disorder they knew their policies would cause — and Labour’s refusal to repeal these laws indicates their interest in protecting that status quo.

Francesca Newton writes in Tribune on Labour’s adoption of repressive Tory legislation to crack down on peaceful protests.

Perhaps Labour has finally recognized that all democracies are under attack by fossil fuel interests.

Cross Musk & he takes his petro-state investment dollars & incites a riot

France & astroturf Yellow Vests.

Canada & #KochNetwork antivaxxer blockades.

USA & fossil fuel-funded Jan 6

Australia & coal

The industry is prepared to do anything, literally anything, to any democracy threatening a fossil fuel phase out

Funding fascism, xenophobia, & climate denial is just the start

its been like that my whole life, every time right has power they ‘correct’ the previous government and jolt to the right. Then the ‘left’ comes to power and just maintains the status quo for some (to me) unknown reason
