I read #Dune long ago, then again some years later. I tried the sequels and couldn't, they were not Dune. Time passed and I got my hands on The Butlerian Jihad, and enjoyed it! I'm about to begin God Emperor of Dune and at this point I need to see where all this goes!

oh boy, you're in for the most meme-able Dune book in the whole series. It's not good, it's batshit crazy, but a million dumb posts have been made about it, so you'll get to enjoy them all.
