Anarchist community center @firestorm in #Asheville, #NorthCarolina is reporting that it is "OK" following the initial impact of #HurricaneHelene and is open each day at 2pm to act as a space for people to gather:

"Our co-op is OK, but the situation on the ground in Western North Carolina is catastrophic.

We'll share more when we're able. Almost everyone we know if without power or water and cellphone networks are down. Mutual aid is happening organically throughout the community.

We're hosting gatherings at 2pm each day for folks to share resources and news."
