It's gutless, but not the way people are presenting it. The owners are too gutless to deal with the fallout from forcing their editorial staff to endorse Trump, so they tried the weak compromise of blocking any endorsement. It failed, and it probably brought more attention to the topic of editorial endorsements than if they had just ignored it and let their papers endorse Harris. It also shows what turds the owners are.

It is incredible serious what is happening. Trump and his acolytes have drafted a plan step by step, He had made the threats. The GOP continues to ignore that he have done that. And now you are witnessing how institutions coward and bend the knee.

Very serious situation. It's not an illusion and it's not like any other presidential campaign. Trump has said explicitly what anti democratic measure he will do.

The Boston Globe has also endorsed Kamala Harris, showing courage much the way their Spotlight team exposed the long term, and ongoing sexual abuse of children, and the equally long term and ongoing coverup of it all, at the highest levels of the Church hierarchy in Boston, and in Rome. They won a Pulitzer for the series of articles. The movie, Spotlight, does a good job of telling that story.
