The BCA & the #HennepinCounty Sheriff’s Office are both suing the #Trump admin after the #shooting. Early Sunday, a federal judge in #Minnesota granted a temporary restraining order [#TRO] blocking federal agencies from destroying or altering #evidence related to #AlexPretti’s killing.
“They even got a #state search #warrant for a public area to conduct their investigation, but they were not allowed in,” O’Hara said.
The scene has since become “contaminated,” O’Hara said, adding the situation is “not ideal” for investigators.
#BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said Saturday that state & #local #police were unable to secure the scene & it was overrun by protesters, preventing the BCA from conducting its own investigation.

Bureau of Criminal Apprehension arrives at #shooting scene after being turned away
More than 24 hours after a #CBP agent shot & killed #AlexPretti, personnel from #MNBCA have arrived at the scene.
#BCA staff are “canvassing & looking to collect whatever evidence may be there,” #Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said Sunday.
O’Hara said he requested the BCA to investigate immediately after the shooting, but “they were refused entry” by #federal agents.
