As the Arctic warms, it turns the earth's normally RELIABLE rotating jet stream into a drunkard's merry-go-round of madness, throwing this huge Arctic cold air mass down to the southern US.

The record snow/ice is due to warmer air holding more moisture

Eventually, the cold air will be gone forever.
