One of the many things I don't get:

Inflation in the US peaked in June 2022.

Yet there was no red wave in the midterms in Nov 2022, and Democrats actually picked up a seat in the Senate.

How did inflation become the number 1 reason to vote against Democrats in 2024 when inflation is down to 2%?
