They fled from there on foot, intending to reach the Qandar region, but the Ethiopian authorities prevented them from progressing. About 5 km from the camp, they had to stay in the Olala forests.

Seventy-seven days have passed while they were sitting in this forest. They suffered what they suffered. They were afflicted by cold and rain. They were stung by snakes and scorpions. They slept among insects and flies. They ate crocodiles and tree bark. They were attacked by armed militias, including plundering, kidnapping, stealing, beating, threatening, and even... A case of rape of minor girls almost occurred less than two weeks ago.

Next August, they will face the danger of rain due to their presence in the mountains. Some local residents in the area told them that this forest is a stream channel and will be dangerous for you in the fall.

All of these tragedies are documented, photographed, and recorded with videos, photos, and testimonies. In fact, the problems are very many, and I did not mention to you their suffering with food and the way to bring it, or how they obtain water or medicine, and where they get medical care, in addition to the murders that occurred by armed groups, the last of which was a Sudanese refugee woman who was killed on Eid. She was pregnant with a fetus, and she was hit by a gunshot in the chest. Head.
