For me, the new approach of Apple with a little increase is even better for their environmental goal, as changing devices each year is a horror for the environment yet. People upgrading every 4 to 6 years will have this massive leap in technology.

So, where many see it as a downside, I see it as a company that finally gives up on forced upgrades each year to remain fully up to date.

Um... #Dropbox... When did it implement this scheme to make me upgrade to a paid tier even though I have enough free storage? Keeping downloaded files on your #iPhone now requires an upgrade. Don't recollect it did before. At least #iCloud fixed that issue. No relying on Dropbox for all my documents anymore, I guess. But they don't care, since Dropbox is not monetizing me like iCloud is. Guess #Apple wins and gets my coin.
