The ocean-crossing #storms known as #AtmosphericRivers are nothing new: They deliver precipitation up & down the #WestCoast every winter & are the source of close to half of W. Washington & W. Oregon’s precipitation from Nov to April. But #climate scientists expect them to grow more powerful, arrive more frequently, & last longer as Earth’s climate keeps warming.
