#RobReiner initially rose to fame playing Meathead, #ArchieBunker’s son-in-law, on the sitcom “All in the Family” in the 1970s. He then went on to become a remarkably versatile director and a force in California and national Democratic politics.

Reiner was the son of a pioneering television comedian who became a popular sitcom actor himself before directing a slate of beloved films including “This Is Spinal Tap,” “When Harry Met Sally …” and “The Princess Bride.”

#RobReiner. He was a constant presence in my life. He made me laugh and cry for years. He made me look for ideals in love, law, and politics. I don’t know how Meathead morphed into the guy behind Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, An American President, A Few Good Men, Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally… but everything he did was wonderful-even his smaller projects. And his love for his troubled son-talk about the Pit of Despair as a parent! Peace be with his family. May his memory bless us all. 💔
