Another Brexit fiasco.... British cheeses failed to get to the World Cheese Awards in Portugal as they failed to clear customs in time (now being from a non-EU country).

In the scale of the disasters of Brexit its not going to to be a big thing (although it will be for the frustrated cheese makers), but is emblematic of how myopic the Brexiters were about the impact of their successful plan to leave Europe....

🚨*Shots Fired by Macron!*🚨

Following the stunning, but unwanted Trump victory, President Macron outlines his future vision for the #EU & #Europe

He acknowledges that Europe can no longer rely on America for its military security & economic stability, & that the EU needs to stand on its own 2 feet & see #America & #China as rivals

North Koreans are fighting #Europeans in Europe, for a Trump backed #Russian dictator

As a second Trump term looks more likely, the Brexiters hope/aim to (re)align the UK with the Atlanticist economy instead of looking across the channel to Europe appears ever more like a major mistake in national economic strategy.

If Trump wins (as now looks likely) & imposes the tariffs he 'promises' then the NIESR suggest the UK's already meagre growth rates will be halved, presenting a further economic headache for Govt. & country!

Last year, the Guardian revealed that more than a quarter of water bills in the south of England have been spent paying the interest on the debt the companies hold.”

Another result of #Brexit.

So, Energy UK estimates that Brext & the UK's exit from the EU member states energy market structure, has cost the country around Β£370m a year in additional energy charges for imports compared with what might have been achieved by remaining in the internal market....

Yup, the continuing detail on the economic self-harm of Brexit is demonstrating that the so-called 'project fear' was a lot more realistic than the bulls*t spouted by the Brexiters...

a lesson learnt way too late!
