Indulging in one of my special inks from Ferris Wheel Inks (made in Canada), for today's #inkyDays drawing. This one is a deep red with a slight shimmer. I use these sparingly, because they are getting harder to find...because of tariffs and wars and general terrible management in DC.
Well, I'm using it to draw a calming floral today.

Playing with this gorgeous sunshine orange ink and a floral pattern for today's #inkyDays drawing. I love this ink. I've used so much of it that the bottle is getting close to empty. It plays beautifully with diluted ink and paper.

Playing with a new ink in today's #inkyDays drawing. This ink is called "Bobtail Squid Green, and it's a lovely green. It starts out bright light green when it's wet, and dries into a deeper almost mossy green. Lovely.
I also experimented with drawing some batleth wielding penguins on watercolor paper today.

Starting this month of daily drawings, with a comforting floral patter and a gorgeous ink. I love how this one plays with a diluted blue ink. It produces an almost ultraviolet mix. Yes, I know it's not actually ultraviolet...it looks like how we represent it in color charts.

Did today's #inkyDays drawing before heading out for the General Strike rally at Dolores Park, here in San Francisco. So many people! It was amazing!

The orange penguins finished drying, and are certainly growing on me. They look good next to the blue ones.
New inks arrived today! The one I tried is called "blushing mushroom", and I drew a floral pattern with it. The shimmer is tricky to catch on camera, but it's really lovely.
