Israel's aggression towards the citizens of its "allies" also continues, as seen with the abuse of hundreds of people in the aid flotilla 1000 km from Israel.

Today's demo for Gaza outside Assen railway station.
A lot of people joined in today, waving, thumbs up, making heart signs, taking information leaflets or their own photos of posters, even borrowing pots from us so they could join ib.
It is clear that the majority of people are opposed to Israel's genocidal behaviour, but our politicians don't seem to have received the message loudly enough. Hopefully our pot banging helped to get the message through.

Today's protest in Groningen. This happens on the Waagstraat between 13:00 and 14:00, every other Saturday (odd / oneven week numbers).
It's a quiet demo, not a noisy demo like at the railway station.
If you want to join in you just need to turn up. There are lots of signs that you can borrow if you want to hold one.
Everyone is friendly.
I know that many people feel unable to do anything about the awful situation in Palestine. Protesting and refusing Israeli products are two of the best things that individuals can do.

Today's pot-banging protest at Assen railway station. A group of us gathered as we do every Thursday evening from 18:00 until 19:00.

There's very obviously more interest from the public now than there was a few weeks ago. Several people came up and asked for leaflets rather than having to be offered one. Other people walked past doing thumb's up and peace signs with their hands.

Israel has for a long time managed to convince people in the west that they are somehow the victims of their own violence. Their recent war crimes have been so blatant that they have lifted the veils from many people's eyes.

Everyone can now see for themselves who the real terrorist state of the middle east is.

Today's protest at Assen station was an emergency action in response to the Israeli introduction of a death sentence for Palestinians only.

We were indoors with placards, and a recording which sounds a lot like the usual public address system in the railway station, but which informs people about the ongoing genocide.

Today's protest for Palestine. Some of the group were at a larger protest elsewhere today, so we were fewer in number but just as determined as usual.
This week the genocidal Israelis again exposed their horrible behaviour with their disgusting treatment of hunanitarians delivering aid. What we all saw was the level of violence that they publish themselves to garner support. It takes some sickness to think that would show them in a good light.

This is the last Thursday of the month so our protest at Assen railway station was in silence apart from the reading of names and ages of Palestinians killed by Israel.
All the deaths are tragedies, but it hits harder when the ages are those of children and infants.

This evening a group of us once more protested for Palestine and against the Israeli genocide outside Assen railway station. This happens outside all Dutch railway stations (or at least many of them) from 18:00 until 19:00, every Thursday.

Genocidal Israel's appetite for death is enormous.

Photos from last Thursday and this evening of the weekly protest for Gaza at Assen railway station. Last week we were pot banging, as we do most weeks. This week we listened in silence as names of Palestinians killed by the Israelis were read out.
Each name is read out with the age of the deceased. In one hour we had time only for a small fraction of the dead. There's time to remember only a few hundred out of the tens of thousands who have been killed.
Clearly many people were touched by the message, especially when they heard the names of young children. Many people took leaflets. Hopefully many of them will at the very least be prepared to join the boycott of Israeli goods.
Who wouldn't be affected by the murder of infants ?

Two weeks have passed since I posted a photo of the weekly pot-banging demonstration, but that doesn't mean it wasn't happening. Last Thursday, and the Thursday before I was amongst those protesting against the continuing Israeli genocide of Palestinians at the station in Assen. The "ceasefire" hasn't stopped the killing. Hundreds of Palestinians continue to die at the hands of the Israeli army in Gaza and at the hands of the "settlers" in the West Bank.
This must stop.
There's not a lot of that people living in Western nations can do directly, but we can very easily commit to never buying Israeli goods and services, or those from companies linked to Israel, and by voting for politicians who will try to raise the subject internationally.

Weekly demonstration for Palestine by the station in Assen. Yesterday was UN World Children's Day so as well as making a noise we also had a reading of the names of children who have been murdered by Israel. Over the last two years, Israel has killed children in Gaza at an average rate of about one per hour. Over 20000 innocent lives cut short by the genocidal state of Israel. The horrors have not ended and nor have our protests.
From a personal point of view as a citizen of a country in Europe we have limited options, but we can all choose not to buy Israeli goods, not to support companies who trade with Israel and to vote for politicians who seek justice and who do not support Israel.
