but nowhere have i seen posts saying…

'seriously consider getting a vasectomy [so you can potentially avert the risk to someone's life or livelihood]'

as someone that's had one, there's usually a 3 month waiting period so you have time to think it over. when you go in for the procedure, it takes about an hour—half of it filling paperwork out, changing into a gown, and waiting for the surgeon. recovery took me about a day to feel 70% normal, then roughly a week to get back to 100%. there are typically no obvious signs there's been an incision since the way the procedure is done is so minimally invasive and there's zero impact to sexual or urinary function.

at this point, taking it upon yourself to get a vasectomy and talking openly about it is direct action, or at least adjacent

Normally I don't watch TV however, I was helping an elderly neighbour by adjusting their digital clocks and he had his tv turned on.
Trump commercials were playing and it blew me away the absolute BS his campaign was producing.
I turned to the gentleman and said,
"I hope you don't believe this propaganda!"

He looked at me and replied:
"I wish Trump was dying in prison and that's too good for him"

I walked away thinking if this 90+ year old man can figure it out, then there is hope for the US .

The biggest clue to what was coming was the elevator packed with uniformed badged body amored Secret Service officers as we went up to the 9th floor for SNL last night. The came Secret Service hand held metal detectors at studio entrance. Even after that removal of all doubt, the surge of emotion at the audience 1st sight of Kamala #Harris was the most intense I’ve felt in that studio. (Yes, including when The Rolling Stones played.)

The thing about "pre-Roe," is that Roe changed everything. Roe ushered in the end of clients being free to say they didn't want to work for a woman lawyer. When neither birth control NOR pregnancy was covered by insurance (pregnancy is a natural state, not an illness.) When I was told I would never make as much $ as the men (bullshit to that). Roe v. Wade didn't just give reproductive freedom. It recognized that women deserve freedom.
