Privilege is when you can get away with things that others would get in trouble for doing.

I know #DeportElonMusk is trending, but a more reasonable and even-handed sanction would be revoking the #oligarch's security clearance. As a naturalized citizen, I don't want a potential fascist government to be able to deport me based on my social media posts. Security clearance OTOH is not a right, and it can be revoked based on Leon Smuk's conduct.

A lot of people who are up in arms over Brazil banning Xitter aren’t acknowledging the fact that the country cast off a military dictatorship in 1985 and Elon’s openly allied with the neofascist who tried to restore it, with help from Elon Social, just two years ago. Pretty unique situation.

That judge may well have a beef with Musk because of his intransigence but the stakes are much higher than that.

Hard to disagree with this action. The Brazilian authorities are not making unreasonable requests, but because they’d negatively affect the Brazilian far right, Musk refuses to allow the company to take them.

This isn’t about free speech; it’s about sovereignty.
